The case of wolf management policy in the West provides an opportunity for instructors to increase student understanding of the complex interplay of national and state politics, stakeholder interests, and public perceptions in the context of natural resource management. The teaching materials associated with this e-case demonstrate the breadth and depth of issues associated with wolf management in the US, including successes and failures of environmental policy-making, collaboration between stakeholders and policymakers, and the conflicts that arises from wolf policy and management.
